Calendarific (holiday data source)

We use Calendarific as a data source for public holiday information. Our servers fetch and store holiday data and refresh it periodically. Refresh cadence can vary over time. When you view holiday pages, your browser receives holiday data from TimeTiki, not directly from Calendarific.

When we refresh data, Calendarific may receive technical request data from our servers (such as our server IP address and request metadata). Calendarific disclaims warranties, including that its products are error-free or uninterrupted. View Calendarific's terms.

RestCountries

We use the RestCountries API to fetch additional country details (such as flags and population), licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. This is a public API and your browser may make requests directly to their servers.

OurAirports

We use airport records from OurAirports (Public Domain). We store a local snapshot to power airport pages.

UNESCO World Heritage dataset

We use UNESCO World Heritage site records via OpenDataSoft under CC BY-SA 3.0 IGO. See the source dataset at OpenDataSoft.

Embassy and University datasets

Embassy/consulate records are sourced from database-of-embassies (Public Domain). University records are sourced from Hipo university-domains-list (MIT License). We store local snapshots to serve these pages.

GeoNames

We use the GeoNames database for city and time zone location data. This data is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License.

ipapi.co (consent geolocation)

To determine whether consent prompts are required in your region, we may request your country code from ipapi.co. This request can include your IP address and standard request metadata. We cache only the resulting country code locally in your browser for consent handling.

• LocalStorage preferences remain on your device until you clear them.

• Stored holiday data is retained until replaced during the next scheduled refresh.
